CTSAMVM headquarters in Juba received a visit from the Head of Delegation for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Florence Gillette.

During the visit, various aspects of the peace monitoring process, including the challenges faced and the achievements made so far, were discussed. The meeting also highlighted the importance of cooperation between international organizations in promoting peace and stability in South Sudan. CTSAMVM sees the ICRC’s support as vital, especially in the context of the humanitarian challenges and the need for robust monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance with the ceasefire agreements.

CTSAMVM held its Technical Committee Meeting at Beijing Hotel in Juba today.

CTSAMVM remains committed to monitoring, verifying, and reporting on the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS), ensuring that progress is made towards lasting peace and stability in the region. CTSAMVM reports are based on investigations undertaken with the full involvement of the National Monitors and discussed at the Joint Monitoring and Coordination Office with the active participation of the Senior National Liaison Officers.
