The Ceasefire & Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring & Verification Mechanism (CTSAMVM) is a multinational mechanism that monitors, verifies, and reports on compliance of the signatory Parties to the South Sudan Peace Agreement signed in 2018. CTSAMVM has Monitoring and Verification Teams (MVTs) in six of South Sudan’s most conflict-affected areas. The MVTs patrol their areas of responsibility and gather information on potential violations of the agreement, which they immediately report to the CTSAMVM headquarters in Juba for further action.
